Things are looking a little different this season. We are incredibly sad to not be able to perform in a theatre and have the NDSU Festival Concert Hall lobby come to life and invite you into the warm holiday season.
This season's Nutcracker will take place virtually from Gasper's School of Dance on December 18.
Each season we have a tradition to sell painted nutcracker dolls in the lobby at our production of The Classic Nutcracker. These dolls are painted by our company members as a fundraiser for the company and have become quite popular with our patrons. Due to COVID and an untraditional performance of The Nutcracker this season, we decided to hold an auction for these nutcracker dolls. To keep the tradition alive this season, we have an online auction that opens December 8, 2020 at 12:00pm and will close on December 19, 2020 at 8:00pm.
If you win a Nutcracker, we will contact you to schedule pick-up or shipping (shipping will be at an additional cost).
The Nutcracker 2020 will be performed virtual from the studio this season and feature the second act of The Classic Nutcracker with choreography by Artistic Director, Matt Gasper, as well as Duke Ellington’s Nutcracker with choreography by Founding Director, Mrs. Kathryn Gasper. This will air on December 18, 2020. More details to come.
