Rehearsals and Company Class

We are working with our home studio of Gasper's School of Dance on a schedule for our 2021-2022 season. We want to make sure our company members have a good balance of life and dance and have revamped some of our class and rehearsal times.

In the past company class / rehearsals were held Wednesday evenings and Friday Evenings. This season we have eliminated Friday evening rehearsals. Below are the changes that we have made to our rehearsal schedule and company class.

  • Wednesday 7:30pm - 9:30pm: Company Class / Rehearsal with Mr. Matt

  • Saturday 10:00am - 11:00am: Company Class with Ms. Gretchen (Trainees required to attend, optional for all other company members. This is a free class)

  • Sunday 12:45pm - 1:45pm: Company Rehearsal time with Mr. Matt

Additional Rehearsals will be held as follows (these will be scheduled on our FMBallet Calendar and will not take place every week):

  • Saturdays after 3:30pm

  • Sundays 2pm - 4:30pm

All company class and rehearsals are free to company members. No costs are associated with it.

Performances, Appearances & Opportunities

THIS SEASON we are thrilled to collaborate with our company with our Youth Production Intensive. All company members will have the opportunity to choreograph (and perform) in a section of Carnival of the Animals. This is a paid position with the company early next summer 2022. The end of the intensive ends with a live free public performance (date, time and location to be determined). We can't wait for our company members to inspire and mentor the next generation of dancers, while working on their craft and creativity through choreography.

FMBallet company members will also perform and make appearances beyond the stage this season. We already have performances lined up with the Red River Market and Night Bazaar this fall. Mini Nut performances are being scheduled at local events and schools. We often have story time at the public library, appearances at Arts Partnership events, and so much more.

We can't wait to bring back live dance into the community this season.

Class: We encourage all our dancers in the company to train. At this stage our company doesn't meet daily to train our dancers. We do have 2-3 days of company class scheduled this season as outlined above. These are no cost to our company and just for our company members.

Merchandise: Each season, our FMBallet company members receive a FREE FMBallet jacket as a gift from the company. This season our dancer's will also receive a FMBallet T-shirt. We will also have additional merchandise items that will be available at a discounted price to our company.

Tickets: Another perk this season is a ticket perk! This will be outlined in the agreement that will need to be signed to be part of our company after our company list has been posted. This will be discussed in detail at our first company class.

We really take pride in our company members and want to make sure they know they are appreciated. This is why we have our company. To provide an opportunity for pre-professional and professional dancer's to perform.
