6:00pm | Junior Company Auditions
Come ready to dance and your audition form fully filled out with a headshot attached. Studio K will be open 30 minutes before auditions to warm up and take your place. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to the audition time.
Junior Company is a training company. This program was developed to help dancers to continue working on their technique and prepare for the main company. The Junior Company does dance in the companies productions (those that have open auditions and those that do not) that take place throughout the season. It is open to dancers ages 11 - 24 that dance at an intermediate - advance level. Junior Company does have a fee due to the nature that this is a training program and class. They also perform throughout the season at local events, nursing homes, schools, and make appearances at FMBallet fundraisers, events, and outings. Junior Company class is mandatory. This program is led by Ms. Lindsey Setzekorn, Ballet Mistress of the FMBallet.

Company auditions are open to dancers at an advance - professional level ages 13 - adult. The FMBallet company performs in four productions this season, makes in-town appearances & mini performances, attend fundraising events, and may travel around the region. Company class is mandatory. Matt Gasper is the Artistic Director of the Fargo-Moorhead Ballet.
The FMBallet company is in our 15th season this year. Each season our company's repertoire continues to grow and includes more concerts, appearances, events, and fundraisers. This season we will open with Spooky Ballets ft. Sorcerer's Apprentice (Oct 21, 2018), followed by our holiday tradition of The Classic Nutcracker (Dec 15-16, 2018), in the spring we will celebrate 40 years of dance with the Gasper family with the presentation of Tribute, mixing the old with the new, and closing out our season we will put on a Dance Concert Series in collaboration with Gasper's School of Dance. The company will also travel to RDA Midstates in May 2019 to celebrate dance, take classes, and present adjudicated dance work(s) (this is an optional trip, details and cost coming in September 2018).
We are excited for our season to begin with added staff, new board members, and of course, our 2018-2019 Company and Junior Company. We hope to see you at auditions.
