About the event
Reserve your spot beginning August 9, 2021.
In celebration of World Ballet Day, we will be showing "Blue Suede Shoes" performed by the Cleveland / San Jose Ballet company. This show was created around the character Johnny, which was originally danced by our very own Artistic Director, Matt Gasper. Choreography by Dennis Nahat, costumes by Bob Mackie. This production was originally aired on PBS in 1997. The FMBallet does not own the rights to this production or film. We are showing this for FREE.
Not only will you get to see this fantastic ballet, Artistic Director, Mr. Matt will share his experience with dancing at Cleveland / San Jose Ballet and more specifically about this production.
