Auditions: The Classic Nutcracker

Auditions for our holiday production of The Classic Nutcracker are right around the corner and we hope to see you join us to put on another spectacular production this season! Like seasons past, we will be adding new elements to keep the show fresh and exciting for new and returning patrons. Be a part of this magical holiday experience by auditioning September 11, 2022.

AUDITION INFORMATION

** Location ** This season Gasper's School of Dance is relocating to a new South Studio location 5 blocks east of their current home. We will be holding our auditions at their NEW location at

Town Village Square

4631 40th Ave S, Ste 120, Fargo, ND 58104

(Office complex North of the Osgood Hornbacher's and in the parking lot of First International Bank on the corner of 45th St and 40th Ave. Front door faces First International Bank.)

TIME SLOTS

1:00pm - 1:50pm: Ages 6 - 8

2:00pm - 2:50pm: Ages 9 - 12

3:00pm - 3:50pm: Ages 13 - Adult

4:00pm - 4:50pm: Dancers en Pointe

-- Dancers should arrive 10 - 15 minutes before their time slot to check in, warm-up and turn in their audition form.

-- Audition Form can be filled out online or printed, filled in and brought to the audition.

-- Dancers should wear dance attire (preferably a leotard and tights for females and athletic pants or ballet tights and t-shirt for males) and hair should be secured back in a ballet bun.

CAST ANNOUNCEMENT

We will announce our cast for this production by Thursday, September 15, 2022. We will post on our NEWS page, as well as by email to the cast.

REHEARSAL INFO

Rehearsals for FMBallet productions typically take place Saturday and Sunday leading up to the production. Advanced Dancers will be called on Wednesday evenings. Rehearsal schedules are released at least 2 weeks prior to them taking place and are located on our Calendar page on our website. Your dancer will only need to be at the rehearsals for the part they are casted in. Rehearsal time is limited and important to attend to remine in the cast.

PRODUCTION INFO

-- 2 Weeks prior to the production, dancers will be required to be at full runs of the show at the studio. These rehearsals are often dismissed down.

-- Theatre rehearsals begin Wednesday the week of the show.
