Auditions: Alice in Wonderland

Calling all area dancers ages 6 through adult. Open auditions for Alice in Wonderland will take place Sunday, January 14, 2024. We are ready to take on this adventure with you.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

AUDITION SIGN UP INFORMATION

• You are only required to attend the audition time of your age group.
• Dancers en pointe MUST attend audition of their age group AND the en pointe audition
• Attend the audition for your AGE THE DAY OF THE AUDITION. Not the day of the production.
• Audition form must be filled out and turned in prior to auditioning.

AUDITION TIME SLOTS

• 1pm - 2pm | Ages 6 - 8
• 2pm - 3pm | Ages 9 - 12
• 3pm - 4pm | Ages 13 - Adult
• 4pm - 5pm | Dancers En Pointe (also sign up for your age group audition)

5:00pm - 5:30pm | Callbacks

Dancers will receive a slip stating they should come back and attend this audition timeslot. We just need to see your dancer one more time for role considerations. If you are not called back, it doesn't mean you are not part of our production.

Join us for a whimsical adventure down the rabbit hole as the Fargo-Moorhead Ballet (FMBallet) proudly announces auditions for "Alice in Wonderland," the enchanting ballet adaptation of Lewis Carroll's timeless classic. Delve into a world of fantasy, curiosity, and extraordinary characters, as we bring this beloved tale to life through the artistry of dance.

AUDITION DETAILS:

- Date: Sunday, January 14, 2024

- Location: Gasper's School of Dance (Downtown Studio) - Home of the FMBallet | 524 7th St N, Fargo, ND 58102

- Arrival: Arrive 10 - 15 minutes prior to your audition time slot to check in and warm up.

- We will teach a short dance combination. Dancers will be broken up in smaller groups of 4-6 dancers after this combination is learned. Do your best and move in the general direction if you get lost.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Dancers of all levels and backgrounds are welcome.

- Ages 6 through adult are welcome to audition.

- Wear appropriate dance attire 

• Females: letoard, tights, short skirts optional, Ballet Slippers
• Males: athletic pants, solid color t-shirt, ballet slippers.
• Adult: atheletic wear, ballet shoes or socks. 

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:

- Rehearsals will take place on weekends (mainly Saturdays after 2pm and Sundays after 2pm) and select weeknights (mainly Wednesdays after 7:30pm)

- With limited rehearsal time, all rehearsals are important. Missed rehearsals may mean dismissel from the production.

AUDITION FEE:

- NONE. We do not charge an audition or participation fee to be part of our productions.
