TERENCE FLYNN
Corps De Ballet

Terence Flynn has been dancing since he was a 6 year old. This is his first year as a member of the FMBallet. Terence competed locally, regionally, and nationally throughout his time as a dancer at Dance, etc! in Grand Forks, ND. He graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts in History, minors in Dance and African American and African Diaspora Studies, Hutton Honors College Notation, and a Master's in Library Sciences with a specialization in Archives and Records Management.
While at IU he was a member of the African American Dance Company, where he also worked as the road manager for the 2023-2024 season. In his time with AADC, Terence had the opportunity to take classes in a variety of styles and learn from a variety of practitioners, including members of the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company and Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, as well as learning cultural dances from Ghana, South Africa, and Guinea. Terence also had the opportunity to choreograph as part of the company’s practice and spring shows.
One of Terence’s guiding dance philosophies is from Alvin Ailey: “Dance is for everybody.” Terence values community events, especially those that celebrate and raise awareness for those with disabilities. He has previously performed at Dancing for Special Stars in 2015, 2016, and 2025 as a specialty act. One of Terence’s favorite things is watching his younger sister, who has Down syndrome and autism, put on her own personal dance recitals.
