MARY BETH PORTER

PRINCIPAL

 

Mary Beth is 20 years old and has been dancing for 15 years, as well as teaching for the past 4 years at Gasper’s School of Dance. This is her sixth season with the FMBallet company. Mary Beth was in FMBallet junior company and Gasper's competition for two years. As a member of FMBallet junior company, she attended Regional Dance America to perform and take master classes. In 2019 she performed two solo pointe variations at Youth America Grand Prix. During FMBallets 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons she attended The Ballet Alliance alongside other FMBallet company members to perform and take classes. She has performed various roles in FMBallet's The Classic Nutcracker throughout the past 12 years, prior to landing her dream roles as Clara in 2021 and The Sugar Plum Fairy the past 3 years. She danced in the traveling Moscow Ballet Nutcracker. In addition to her Nutcracker performances she has been in numerous other FMBallet productions with memorable roles as: Little Red Riding Hood in Sleeping Beauty, Nimuue in Spirit Rising, Swanhilda in Coppelia, Peter Pan in Peter Pan, Alice in Alice in wonderland, Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, and Cinderella in Cinderella.
