CLARA MELINE

APPRENTICE

Clara is 15 years old and fell in love with dance at age 4.  She currently trains in ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, tap, hip hop, musical theatre, dance technique, and partnering at Gasper’s School of Dance.  This is her 3rd year performing with FM Ballet, and 2nd year as a Company member.  Dancing in The Classic Nutcracker is a highlight each year, as well as having danced in Spooky Ballets, Christmas at the Club, Coppelia and Peter Pan, and looks forward to Alice in Wonderland this season.  Clara enjoys doing outreach events with FMB, bringing dance into the community.

Currently in her 5th year doing competitive dance, Clara loves performing with the Prima team at regional and national competitions.  Some highlights include being crowned All American Teen Champion at Dance Extreme Nationals this past summer with her lyrical solo, 1st Place Elite Teen Title at Fly Dance, receiving the Steven Boyd Memorial Award and Parade of Stars awards at Masquerade Dance, dancing in the Superstar Showcase at Triple S Nationals, Standout Dancer at Starz, NYC All Star Dancer invite at Kids Artistic Review, team Grand Champion, Encore winner, and Industry Dance awards, Judge Choice shout outs and other awards placing in overalls.  Sharing her voice through dance is her passion. 

 

Clara loves opportunities to learn and grow and has attended Dance Masters of America, Momentum Dance Convention, Nationals Master Classes, GForce, U of M Dance Convention, FMCT ed, Trollwood Performing Arts School, Immerse Artists Experience, and Summer Arts Intensive.  She enjoyed the opportunities to perform with MSUM Straw Hat Players, and with the Moscow Ballet’s Russian Nutcracker on tour in ND.  She looks forward to attending A Class Act workshop at Pearl Studio Performing Arts in NYC this spring, and attending the Ballet Alliance in Washington this May.   

 

Aside from dance Clara enjoys acro, choir, being a band percussionist, local and state level Student Council, advocating for mental health, taking voice lessons, and has performed in 28 musical theatre productions.
