Marisa began dancing at the age of four at Center Stage Dance Academy in Detroit Lakes, MN. At age eleven, she fell in love with classical ballet and auditioned and performed in the FM Ballet’s production of the Nutcracker for the first time. Since then, her passion and dedication to classical ballet and contemporary dance have only grown, prompting her to travel and live away from home intermittently in an effort to expand her training. Marisa has trained classically with Gasper’s Dance Academy / FMBallet, Next Generation Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Master Ballet Academy/Phoenix Ballet, Cary Ballet Conservatory/Cary Ballet, and the 3D Jazz Project Company. Each experience has provided countless competition and performance opportunities, from dancing with the Phoenix Ballet at the Orpheum Theatre to competing at multiple venues throughout the United States in the Youth America Grand Prix, for which she will forever be grateful. Marisa is currently training to compete for her third year in the American Dance Competition/Youth International Ballet Competition and is honored to have been selected to be a part of this event again in 2020. Marisa is thankful to all of her instructor’s that have influenced her and invested countless time, belief and energy into her and her training throughout the years. In the future, Marisa hopes to pursue dance professionally and continue to impact others through the art of dance.
