About the event
Be part of Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo‘s ballet company. Auditions for our 18th Season will be held on Wednesday, September 1 at 7:30pm at our home studio of Gasper’s School of Dance. No preparation needed, come ready to dance.
Dancers (all genders) age 14 - adult are welcome to audition. We highly recommend that dancers be at an advance - professional level of dance. Pointe is not a requirement to audition for our company, we work around all strengths. If you dance en pointe, please bring pointe shoes to the audition.
The FMBallet will meet weekly as follows (subject to change)
- Wednesdays (7:30pm - 9:30pm) Company Class and Rehearsal with Mr. Matt
- Saturday (10:00am - 11:00am) Optional FREE Company class with Ms. Gretchn, this is required for Trainees.
- Sunday 12:45pm - 1:45pm Company Rehearsal with Mr. Matt
- Production rehearsals will take place Saturday afternoons and Sunday afternoons. Schedule for those rehearsals are released at least 2 weeks in advance.
In addition to our two major productions (The Classic Nutcracker and Coppélia), we also have a NEW opportunity for all company members to choreograph and perform in our June Youth Intensive (Carnival of the Animals). Throughout the season we have several appearances and mini performances including Mini Nutcracker, library events, Barnes & Noble Fundraiser, Community Events, and other performance opportunities in the works (details to be released once we have dotted the i’s and crossed the t’s).
Company dancers (Principal, Soloists, Corps de Ballet and Apprentices) are compensated per major production (The Classic Nutcracker and Coppélia). Company members involved in Carnival of the Animals will be compensated as well. Events are compensated if the FMBallet is compensated. Many community events are performed for free.

EARLY AUDITION:
August 11, 2021 at 7:00pm
The FMBallet has performances lined up for early season and we are ready to get started. We will have an early company audition on August 11. Company rankings won't be assigned until after the auditions on September 1.
