AVERY FECHTNER

SOLOIST

Avery is 16 years old and has been dancing for over 11 years. She calls Gasper’s School of Dance home and has explored many different dance styles with contemporary, jazz and lyrical being her favorites. Avery has been performing with the FMBallet since the age of six and is thrilled to be joining the company for a third year. She was honored to be cast as Coppelia in FMBallet’s production of Coppelia in 2022, Sally in Spooky Ballet 2022, and she has flown high on the silks in her role as Arabia in The Classic Nutcracker 2021.  

 

Avery has had the privilege of training with Master’s Ballet Academy in Scottsdale AZ in 2021. In 2022 and 2023 she enjoyed training with premier dance instructors from all over the US at multiple dance conventions including GForce (scholarship recipient), Radix, NUVO (scholarship recipient), and University of Minnesota Dance Team. Avery is currently in her sixth year on the Gasper’s competitive dance team. She has been awarded the following achievements: “Standout Dancer” award at the Starz Dance Competition, “VIP Dancer Award” at Ovation Dance Challenge, “Super Star Showcase” / “Show Stopper” at Triple S Dance Competition, “Parade of Stars” at Masquerade Dance Competition, and “Dynamic Duet- WOW!” at DX Dance Extreme Challenge. 

 

Avery attends the 11th grade at Oak Grove Lutheran High School and enjoys mentoring young dancers as a class assistant dance intern at Gasper’s School of Dance.  Avery is excited to share her love of dance with audiences this year!
